The Haus am Brühl care home for the elderly in Werdau (Saxony) is one of the few care facilities in Germany that not only tolerates pets, but actively integrates them into everyday life. Senior citizens are allowed to bring their dogs with them when they move in, and even employees bring their own dogs to work. Regular visits from a therapy dog complete the offer. The home offers 130 places in 90 single and 20 double rooms as well as 13 barrier-free attic apartments. The central location in Werdau allows for walks in the surrounding area.
