The small, charming Café Bornträger with its glass extension and some outdoor seating was originally an outhouse from the 1930s that stood empty for a long time before it was converted into a cozy café. Light meals such as salads, soups, sandwiches and sweet pastries are served here. A particular specialty of the house is espresso on soft ice cream, a delicious combination that many guests enjoy.
The café is located right next to the Humannplatz green space, and inspired by the dog poo lying there, they bake cute ‘poo cookies’ that always sell out quickly. If you visit the café with your four-legged friend, there’s a good chance that your dog will receive a large, home-baked dog cookie – a great gesture for all dog lovers!
Café Bornträger is therefore not only a place for people, but also for their dogs, who are also pampered here.
