The Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) Regionalverband Berlin-Südwest offers the “First Aid for Dogs” course, which enables dog owners and interested parties to act quickly and effectively in an emergency. The course teaches the basics of first aid for dogs without special equipment.
Course content:
Measures for cardiovascular disorders
Recognizing illnesses and emergency situations
Treatment of various injuries
Compilation of a suitable dog pharmacy
Personal safety for dog owners
Course details:
Duration: 5 teaching units of 45 minutes each (4 hours in total including breaks)
Cost: €50 (reduced €45 for pupils, students, trainees, FSJ/BFD volunteers, pensioners and people with a degree of disability of at least 70%, in each case with proof)
Payment methods: PayPal, advance payment by SEPA bank transfer
ASB members can take part free of charge with their annual first aid voucher.
In addition to the classroom course, an online course is offered, which allows you to practise with your own dog from the comfort of your own home. A PC or laptop with an activated camera and working microphone is required to take part in the online course.
