Flying with a dog in the cabin: dog-friendly airlines
Inhalt
It goes without saying that we are part of the family when we travel. But when it comes to air travel, many people are faced with the question: who allows dogs in the aircraft cabin?
As soon as my mistress starts making new travel plans, her face always darkens, because sometimes it’s not so easy to find airlines that allow dogs in the cabin. To make it easier for you to plan your trip, here is a list of airlines that allow pets in cabin. And so that you don’t have to search for long, I’ve also researched the regulations for face and crate as well as the web address.

Private charter companies
Now I am lucky enough to weigh only around 5.5 kilos and fit into a handy box. For larger dogs or specific needs, private charter airlines offer a flexible alternative. These companies often allow pets to travel in the cabin regardless of size or weight.
In Australia, for example, private jet charter services such as Skye Pets and FalconAir offer customized, pet-friendly flight options. These services are more expensive but offer a stress-free and comfortable journey.
Other private charter companies that allow dogs in the cabin:
NetJets: As one of the largest providers of private jet charter services, NetJets allows pets to travel in the cabin.
VistaJet: VistaJet offers a special program called “VistaPet” that is tailored to the needs of passengers with pets.
Flexjet: Flexjet allows pets in the cabin and offers special amenities for animal companions.
XOJET: XOJET allows pets on board its aircraft, subject to certain guidelines.
JetSuite: JetSuite allows pets in the cabin as long as they meet certain requirements.
Specialist company for animal transportation
Another option are specialized companies that focus on the air transport of dogs and other pets. Here is a short list of such providers:
Bark Air: A luxury airline specifically for dogs, offering transatlantic flights between New York and London. Expansions to Paris, San Francisco and Miami are planned. Tickets start at USD 8,000 and offer first-class amenities for dogs and their owners.
Lufthansa Cargo – Pet Premium: Lufthansa Cargo offers a special pet transportation service with its “Pet Premium” service. This service includes spacious accommodation in the Frankfurt Animal Lounge, individual care by trained staff and additional amenities such as photo documentation on arrival.
PetAir: A German company that specializes in the safe and comfortable transport of pets by air. They offer individual transport solutions and take care of all the necessary formalities.
Animals First: A Dutch service provider that organizes worldwide animal transports, taking care of the animals’ welfare during the flight. They offer tailor-made solutions for the transportation of pets.
Jetpets: An Australian company that provides international pet transportation. They take care of all aspects of transportation, including door-to-door service, veterinary examinations and documentation.
Woof Airline: Woof Airlines is a company specializing in the international transport of pets. They offer transportation of dogs and cats by air or land, accompanied by their staff or as cargo. They also organize the transfer of pets for military personnel, diplomats or expatriates during international relocations. During transportation, they remain in constant contact with customers and provide information on the status of the animals.
We will continue to add to the collection. Do you know of any airlines that take us in the cabin but are not listed? Then write to us, we will be happy to include them!
